3D - Easy Magnet | Rounded Bases Magnet Centering Tool

Magnets dead-centre on every round base, with no measuring and no marking.

Easy Magnet is a magnet centering tool for round miniature bases, designed and 3D-printed by TYCKA DICE in Barcelona. Place the base upside down in its ring, add a drop of cyanoacrylate glue and drop in your magnet: the magnet inside the tool pulls it to the exact centre.

One modular tool, five base sizes

• A base for 50mm bases and three rings that nest inside it: 40mm (large gold ring), 32mm (black ring with tab) and a double-sided small gold ring, 28.5mm on one side and 25mm on the other.
• Locating notches keep the rings from shifting while you work.
• Side cut-outs let you lift the base out cleanly once the glue has set.
• Just 60mm across: all the rings nest into one compact piece.

Reversible polarity

The tool works with a single 5×2mm magnet, press-fitted in the centre. Setting it up is the first step: check it matches the polarity of your magnetic movement trays and, if it doesn't, push it out through the hole underneath, flip it and press it back in. Once the orientation is right, fix it with a drop of glue so it can't pop out when you place your base magnets on top.

What's included

• Base and 3 rings, in black and gold
• The tool's 5×2mm magnet, press-fitted and ready to glue once you've set the polarity

Magnets for your bases are not included. As a guide: 5×2mm for 25mm and 28.5mm bases, 6×2mm for 32mm bases, 5×3mm for 40mm and 50mm bases.
